Donna Borie has been writing songs for over 35 years. With over 300 songs in her catalog, her style is a variety of Christian and Country songs. "My songs usually tell stories," she says. "Whether they are love stories, funny stories or sad stories. I believe songs should come from the heart and touch the hearts of others."
She got the title of her song, "One Love One Rose" from one of the boys her daughter went on a date with. "When he came to the door, he was carrying only one rose. I asked him, "why only one rose?" He replied, "Well, if it's only a one 'one love', I bring only one rose."
Ten minutes later the song was written. Though the relationship didn't work out, a beautiful song was born that has been sung at weddings, banquets and other get-togethers as a favorite among friends and family.
