We caught up with new artist Logan LNXK to discuss his inspirations, dream collaborations, and more!

How did you get started in music?

Honestly, music found me before I found it. I grew up writing poems and journaling feelings I couldn’t say out loud. One day I turned a few lines into lyrics and realized it hit different when I sang it. From that moment, I knew — this wasn’t just something I loved, it was who I was.

Who were your favorite artists growing up? Did you grow up in a musical house?

I grew up in a home where music was always playing — from country to R&B to gospel. My parents had everything from Garth Brooks and George Strait to Usher, Luther Vandross, and Toni Braxton on rotation. So I learned early that good music isn’t about genre — it’s about emotion and storytelling.

What inspires your music?

Real life. The good, the bad, the complicated. Every song I write is tied to something I’ve lived, something I’ve lost, or someone I’ve loved. I think that’s why my songs blend heart and grit — they come from a place of truth.

How would you describe your music to someone who’s never heard it?

It’s country soul with a modern edge. It’s what happens when dirt roads meet city lights — heartfelt storytelling wrapped in R&B emotion and a little bit of swagger. If you’ve ever loved somebody too hard, lost something that mattered, or had a reason to celebrate life — my music’s for you.

You’re great at blending genres, what would a dream collaboration be?

Man, I’d love to work with Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, and H.E.R. — people who bring raw feeling to their sound. A record that mixes southern truth with soulful vulnerability? That’s my kind of collab.

What are you currently working on?

I’ve been finishing up some new records that show more of my storytelling side — love, loss, loyalty, and faith all rolled into one. There’s a few songs that push the line between country and R&B in a way I haven’t done before.

What are your ultimate goals for your career?

I want to make music that lasts — not just for a season, but for somebody’s memories. Awards are great, but connection is better. If a song I write helps someone through their pain or makes them feel seen, that’s the real win.
