Prissy Young draws inspiration from real like. About the new single Prissy says, "I wrote this one months ago, all while thinking about sending a song to the radio. This song is about sending my song to the radio. It’s not perfect, and neither am I. But it’s honest, and it’s the first song I’ve ever sent out into the world along with a song about my beloved cat that I miss."

But there are other meaningful songs in the works.
I wrote this song because I originally wanted to send a different one to Backyard Country. I had another song in the works, pulled from a real moment in my childhood. I was a kid running barefoot down a dirt road with bullets flying behind me. It was terrifying, and it stayed with me my whole life. That song is just too heavy, and I’m not ready to release something that raw yet.
